Ken Davenport, partner Dispensing Optician, brings over four decades of optical knowledge, technical expertise and experience to the practice.
Ken manages all aspects of the optical dispensing to ensure the perfect choice of frames and lens options to best suit every individual client’s needs. Ken is a qualified dispensing optician who has managed his own Albury practice since 1983.
In his spare time Ken is involved in community activities and enjoys camping trips in some of the more remote parts of North East Victoria when time allows.
Ken Davenport and Chris Coady operated highly successful practices in their own right before joining forces to create Coady Davenport Optical. Together with their committed, experienced and highly regarded team they have provided specialist eye care services to the Albury Wodonga community since 2005.
Chris Coady partner Optometrist, manages the eye care aspects of Coady Davenport Optical.
Chris applies his 35 years experience as an Optometrist to ensures that clinical care at Coady Davenport Optical is maintained at the highest level.
Chris is focused on the continued process of updating all current modes of Patient Care through engagement with local medical professionals, colleagues and peers in the Optometrist Association.
Simone Summerfield, optometrist Simone, who graduated in optometry with First Class Honours, has been with Coady Davenport since 1999.
She prides herself on her patience and attention to detail, to ensure clients are given the best possible vision with their spectacles or contact lenses.
During Simone career she has always focused on self and professional development ensuring she is up-to-date with all new developments and current research.
Rebekah completed her optometric studies at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
After working for several years, Rebekah moved to Australia in 2010 to further study her interest in children’s vision – completing courses both here and in the USA.
Her specialty is children’s vision with a more ‘holistic approach’ (behavioural optometry) and offers visual perceptual testing for any suspected learning difficulties. Her other keen interest is myopia control especially utilising orthokeratology and vision therapy.
Rebekah is therapeutically qualified, meaning she is able to treat patients with acute or chronic sore eyes.
Rebekah also likes to volunteer her time with the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Team, working with athletes with intellectual disabilities.
When not working, Rebekah enjoys the great outdoors of North East Victoria!
Peter Skinns, started his optical career as an optical dispenser in Wangaratta back in the late 1960’s.
Since then Peter has worked in optical industry in the UK as and Canada. Returning to Australia in 1977 Peter managed several optical stores Elsternwich and Collins Street, Melbourne. Then he decided to gain experience in the optical wholesale industry and worked for Optical Products in South Melbourne gaining a unique insight to how optical frames are produced.
Peter returned to Albury in 1985 where he owned and managed Robinsons Sports Store for ten years before joining the team at Coady Davenport Optical where he is a valued member of the team.
Gabrielle Donders has more than 40 years experience in interior design, hairdressing, fashion and personal grooming.
She is also currently studying Psychology and Counseling to take her unique insights to a deeper level.
Having grown up in Albury Wodonga, Gabrielle knows the area well; the history styles and trends. She has spent some time away living in Melbourne and Perth, giving her an insight to metropolitan lifestyles.
Gabrielle brings to Coady Davenport these gifting’s and experience along with her charming personality and will be able to help you find the right pair of glasses to suit you and your situation.
Karen, Receptionist/Office manager, has worked in Optics since 1990.
Karen prides herself on the smooth running of the practice, booking appointments and ensuring your records are kept up to date as well as keeping all other aspects of customer services at its award winning best.
Karen has lived in Albury Wodonga all her life and brings a wealth of local knowledge and experience to Coady Davenport Optical. Her helpful nature brings a depth of caring to our practice that is rarely experienced today.
